Our Team

 

Clarke Advertising is a group of seasoned, talented professionals who produce and 
place superior, results-oriented work. Our experience spans the full breadth of retail 
and business-to-business marketing. It’s a seamless blend of creativity, media

knowledge, and administrative support and vision. 

 

 

PRINCIPALS


Richard A. Clarke
President

 

 

Richard leads our creative and administrative teams to ensure that client needs are 
met, and their expectations exceeded. From initial contact to maintaining close client 
relationships, many extending over a decade, he possesses both insight into client
requirements, and vision in solving their marketing challenges. Having assumed the 
mantle of the Agency from his father, George P. Clarke, Richard has over two decades 
of experience in virtually every facet of marketing communications. After graduating 
from the State University of New York, Richard began as an Account Executive and 
worked his way through every department. Today Clarke Advertising enjoys success 
largely due to his in-depth understanding of advertising and marketing, particularly in 
the fields of banking and financial services, the automotive aftermarket and health care.

 

 

Mike Swift
Creative Director

 

 

Mike oversees all creative output and is pivotal for his creative vision and as a critical 
liaison between clients and the agency. He conceives advertising and marketing 
campaigns, writes copy, manages projects and works with our creative teams to meet 
the needs of clients in every media. In over 15 years in the business, Mike has honed 
his talent at some of New York’s best shops. Most recently, he was Associate Creative 
Director at Averett Free & Ginsberg working on the Bacardi, Liz Claiborne and Lorillard

accounts among others and also at Saatchi & Saatchi and Campbell Mithun Esty.

 

Gary Wagener
Account Supervisor, VP

 

 

 

Gary brings nearly a decade of account management and media experience to Clarke Advertising, He has an extensive background in broadcast, Internet and print promotions/business development, along with demonstrated success in conceptualizing, creating and implementing awareness-building campaigns for a wide range of Agency clients.

Bill Schaefer
Production Manager

 

 

Bill brings over a decade of experience as a production manager and project expeditor. In addition to working in an art direction and design capacity, Bill is responsible for managing the production and output of all visual marketing material, while interfacing with clients, outside vendors and various media.

DeAnna Ramirez
Account Executive, VP

 

 

DeAnna works closely with Agency principals and is highly skilled in all phases of account supervision, project management and operational functions, as well as overseeing the Agency's internal communications. An expatriated Texan, DeAnna holds an M.F.A. from Purdue University.
